VW is great, cheap repairs, lots of manuals, and you can get parts mostly anywhere. Meanwhile like BMW or something you will have issues with that.

I think the best way to get right millage is go to VW and check what was done and when something was replaced, there should be logs or something i guess. Also there is company who does this scan prices varies from 20 till 500 euros.
